Q. Why does Phillips Energy. Inc. recommend service agreements?
A. service agreements provide annual preventive maintenance cleaning and servicing that your HVAC equipment requires. This results in fewer service calls which will save you money. They provide 24/7 service personnel on call for "emergency" needs. They also provide discounts on parts and labor with many items installed free of charge. Protection Agreement customers never pay for trip charges and they receive priority service appointments. Contracts are for peace of mind - one call- and we will take care of the rest.
Q. What are the different levels of service agreements?
A. We offer two types of coverage:
Q. What are the costs?
A. Contracts are priced according to the level of protection that is most suitable for your HVAC equipment. Equipment that is properly maintained will save you an average of 10% on your fuel bills. Additionally, a major unit repair not covered under contract can cost more than $750. The cost of protecting your HVAC equipment is well worth the peace of mind you will receive throughout the year.
Q. What are the billing and service cycles of service agreements?
A. Our service agreements are billed annually on the 1st day of the month preceding the month your contract begins. E.g.If your contract began July 1, 2005, you will be billed for your renewal contract June 1 each year thereafter, with a due date of June 30. Additionally, customers who are on the even payment plan through our fuels division may include their agreement fees into the even payment plan, resulting in small monthly payments that provide year-round protection. Because both heating and cooling equipment receive the maximum benefit from spring maintenance, annual preventive maintenance services are typically scheduled between February and June each year. However, Phillips Energy, Inc. maintains year-round maintenance service availability.
