“There is no place more delightful than one’s own fireplace.” –Marcus Tullius Cicero

Gas fireplaces and logs bring you all the classic warmth and ambience of a wood fireplace without the hassles and mess. Just flick a wall switch or touch a remote control and you have flame. There's no wood to fetch, no damper to open and close, and no ash to clean up afterwards. Plus, gas logs look just like the real thing! Gas heating products are available in many designs to cater to personal tastes and price points.

Phillips Energy installs the finest energy-efficient products from the best names in the comfort industry such as Majestic, Kingsman, Napoleon, American Hearth, White Mountain Heart, Heatmaster, Vantage Heart, Valor, Skytech Remotes and RH Peterson…just to name a few!

With so many models to choose from, how do you know which one is right for your home or business? Here's a little cheat sheet on what to look for.

Direct Vent Gas Fireplace. A direct vent fireplace does not require a chimney and can vent horizontally out a sidewall or vertically to the roof as opposed to a traditional fireplace that has an open burning chamber that vents through a chimney. This is a great choice for rooms where a traditional fireplace is not practical.

Freestanding Fireplace. A freestanding fireplace means just that. The fireplace is not installed into a fireplace. A freestanding fireplace works as a fire becomes hot inside, the metal on the outside heats the room. Freestanding fireplaces can be on legs or pedestals as they always sit a few inches above the floor.

Vent Free Gas Fireplace Insert. Vent free gas fireplaces do not require any type of venting system. They burn clean and always ensure an adequate supply of fresh air for the combustion process. They are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

Vented Gas Logs. Vented gas logs operate similarly to a real wood fireplace. They operate with the damper fully open on a wood-burning fireplace either with a flu and chimney or a firebox with vent. Vented logs typically produce more yellow flame making them look more realistic.

Vent Free Gas Logs. Options abound for realistic looking logs! There are an abundance of life like wood styles and textures to create the perfect fire just right for your home. Vent free logs can be installed just about anywhere, even into an existing wood-burning fireplace, with the damper closed to operate as a vent-free heating system.

Vented Inserted Fireplace.  A vented inserted fireplace can be installed into an existing opening and vented using a liner in your existing chimney. This is the perfect way to add warmth and ambiance to your home and serves as a simple fireplace solution.

Vent Free Gas Heaters. Why choose vent free? That’s simple. They are 99% more energy efficient. All of the heat produced goes into the space, not up a chimney. Vent free gas heaters are ideal for hard to heat areas such as basements and sunrooms.

Vent Free Gas Firebox. A vent free gas firebox does not require heat deflection hoods and accept a wide variety of vent-free logs. Vent free fireboxes can be installed on an interior or exterior wall and against any combustible surface such as wood or drywall saving on installation dollars.

Vent Free Cast Iron Stoves. Vent free technology makes for the ultimate supplemental heat source for any home. The best part? They can continue to provide heat even during a power outage.
